The Widow's Financial Wellness Program

Your Widow's Journey

When you become a widow, everything in your life  changes. Uprooted from the stable life you knew, the journey ahead of you feels daunting, scary - like walking a precarious path in the dark, without map or clear destination. Suddenly, there is so much to do; Where you and your husband used to take care of things together, now it’s all left for you to handle -and all while you may be experiencing the grief, overwhelm, brain fog, and lack of focus that is so normal it is called “Widow’s Brain”. It’s like you are a Queen who unexpectedly finds herself in full charge of her domain, feeling unprepared for the many tasks and responsibilities now yours.

Your Queen's Council

That’s why building a strong support team or  “Queen’s Council” is an essential first step in steadying your journey from disruption and loss to recovery, reconstruction and renewal. You may find that many old relationships feel different now, and it’s hard to know who is really there for you, and who you can safely trust. Your protective Queen’s Council are the personal and professional people you assemble to turn to for help in the different areas of your life. The professional part of your team can include a therapist, a grief counselor, a CPA, an estate lawyer and…to help you handle the money and paperwork that seem to run through everything, a financial advisor.

Your Decision Partner

But, what if... your financial advisor was a special kind of Certified Financial Planner who could not only be your fiduciary guide to help you with all the money items on your plate, but was also able to listen-deeply, caringly and patiently enough- to understand your feelings, what you are going through, and what you would like the next phase of your life to look like? Then they could serve in the position of  “Hand of the Queen” companion- a fully supportive decision partner and advisor advocate as you find the confidence, calmness, wisdom and energy to keep moving forward. Our commitment, and calling is to be that kind of empowering support, standing as trusted guides on your post-traumatic growth journey from financial uncertainty to clarity - and beyond.

The Widow’s Financial Wellness Program

"Whatever you are going through, Clarity, Protection and Steadiness can come first”.

Our Widow's Financial Wellness Program begins with bi-weekly structured, comfortable conversations, working with you hand-in-hand through the 5-phase process every widow must navigate on her way to financial empowerment. We are also on-call, in person or on Zoom, to add clarity and calm perspective to questions and issues as they arise. Everything at your own pace.
